GUEST REQUIREMENTS
MEMBER-GUEST FORMAT
MGA MEMBER-GUEST EVENT SCHEDULE:
Thursday, October 17:
Keg beer will be provided each day, Thursday thru Saturday for all Member-Guest sponsored activities.
MEMBER-GUEST COST:
- Guests cannot be a member of Sienna Golf Club, the Sienna MGA, or use Sienna GC as their home course. It is an unfair advantage.
- Not limited to male guests... female guests are more than welcome.
- Guests must have a verifiable handicap index, either through GHIN or some other verifiable handicapping software.
- There may (emphasis on 'may') be limited exceptions to this with enough evidence (i.e. previous recent scorecards) to substantiate creation of a current, valid handicap index... in such cases, the field WILL be protected and there will be no appeal to the assigned index.
- Avoid potential issues - assure your guest has a verifiable handicap index!
- Guests may select the tees he / she will play with the selected tees establishing his / her handicap from their index.
MEMBER-GUEST FORMAT
- Limited to 36 teams to create (6) six-team robins.
- Robins created based on team handicaps - lowest to highest.
- Each team will play the other 5 teams in their robin in a 9-hole best-ball (net) match play format.
- All players in a match will stroke off the low handicap player (who will play as a zero).
- 1 point for each hole won, and 1/2 point for tied holes.
- 1 additional point for winning the 9-hole match (1/2 point each team for a tied match)
MGA MEMBER-GUEST EVENT SCHEDULE:
Thursday, October 17:
- Optional Practice Round - make your own tee times with SGC.
- Optional 1-hole (par 3) horse race starting at 5:00 PM. No entry fee, with payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
- Pick up tee package (1 per player).
- Play (3) 9-hole matches. Start times will be 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM
- Lunch on the fly served between the 2nd and 3rd matches.
- Friday evening social event at Sienna Golf Club... including food and entertainment. Spouses and significant others are welcome. There will be an RSVP process ending on Wednesday, October 16, to confirm attendees and food quantity required to serve everyone.
- Play the final (2) 9-hole matches. Start times will be 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM
- Lunch in the Sienna grill served after play.
- Awards ceremony during lunch. Trophies to winning teams of each robin and cash payouts to winners and 2nd place teams in each robin.
- Optional Multi-Hole Horse Race starting at approximately 2:00 PM. Cost: $20 per team with payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Keg beer will be provided each day, Thursday thru Saturday for all Member-Guest sponsored activities.
MEMBER-GUEST COST:
- Entry Fee: $300 per team - all in, all activities (except optional Saturday horse race), excluding green fees & cart.
- Entry fee to be paid in cash only, to the MGA board.
- MGA member and guest green fees / cart to be paid directly to Sienna Golf Club at a discounted rate for guest... estimated at 2-1/2 times the 18 hole rate (five 9-hole plays)... exact cost TBD.
- No fees due to Sienna GC for optional horse race events.
- All payouts shall be cash... $1500 prize pool for robins and Thursday optional horse race.
- Based on our budget calculations, the $300 entry fee equates to $440 (+) value to the team. The tee package alone equates to a value of $103.50 per player / $207.00 per team.
